As you are all aware, this page is a vaping blog.
Today, we are going personal.
We've entered quite a terrifying time for the United States. A lot of states are placing a "stay at home" order, or a "non-essential business" closure. This affects me directly.
I've been managing a vape shop for nearly five years now. The past week has been hectic to say the least. Monday was by far the busiest day we've had in the history of our store being open.
Last night, we cleared out all of the inventory and brought it into safe keeping because our doors are closed indefinitely until Governor Tom Wolf tells us we can reopen. We have no idea when we are allowed to open.
We took all of the precautions. We sanitized the store top to bottom on Wednesday. We offered curbside pick up for customers. We ensured our employees were washing their hands constantly, offered hand sanitizing to customers, did all transactions over the phone, wore gloves when making e-liquids. It seemed like enough.
Now what? None of us are allowed to work. Customers who aren't aware of the situation may go back to smoking cigarettes. Customers may attempt to break into our store. Customers are stuck. We are stuck.
This is a terrifying time. Look out for each other. Maybe you have an extra coil laying around, or maybe a bottle of liquid that you didn't enjoy. Pass it on to your neighbors, your friends, your family members.
We all deserve a little kindness during such a tough time. Please, be kind to yourself and to others. We are doing our best.
Take care of each other.
